College Pikasso is founded and run by Michael Vecchio out of Akron University in Ohio. It is not limited to just that school. This is envelopes the entire country. Everything is still rough around the edges but things are starting to perk up and work for these fellas.
The idea behind College Pikasso is to create an environment where art students and other students can sell their wares, projects and work to make some extra cash and grow themselves as a brand before they graduate. Wish I had this when I was in school to make some extra money with my art degree. Instead I ended up working my ass off and covering it at a Tattoo shop because I wanted to make some money by drawing. HA. I regret nothing but these kids have the right idea and I couldn’t help but throw my hat in the ring to help them out with a logo and some collateral material… They are still getting set up, but I’m so excited for them (and my little brother who’s helping them with a business model) I had to Hype it up.. More will follow!
During the summer of 2009 I created an Identity for the OFTC’s (Oregon Fair Trade Counsel) commemoration of the 1999 WTO protest in seattle. I created fliers, collateral material, and a website with a blog roll. Their site is at http://www.december5.org.. It’s busy season in the No Hope world… Anyways here’s some samples of what I made for them..
When my best friend Bill got married I wanted to give them a present to remember and something that was very personal from me.
Axium is a A/E industry software company, I worked in the marketing department as a graphic designer/Illustrator. I created HTML emails, web banners, original graphics, promotional material, logo’s, and internal marketing material.
I am constantly trying to keep my favorite artwork and use it for my own promotional use. Not really, but I want to show myself in my own creative light.

Through the month of May I am working with a start up 3-D animation company known as Hive FX. I am acting as a graphic designer/student animator. The company does 3-D modeling and animation. They also specialize in making parts for digital video cameras. I am pretty excited to be working with them for the newly found resources and experience. Also they got me hooked on oatmeal in the morning. Energy for the day.

AEHAP – Association for Environmental Health Academic Programs. I have created a Brochure, Poster and worked for this non-profit agency since October of 2007. This agency goal is to enhance environment health education, to assure the optimal health of people and the environment.
Any chance I get to make a poster I tend to take it. I feel poster art is a art-form that is being taken advantage of. There were days when most designers made posters and printed pieces for propaganda and advertising. Today there are billboards and one color posters littering the streets, the art of screenprinting, four color process and even pasting posters up is dead. This can only be found by artist who are all about process. The posters I created while living in Bowling Green, Oh to promote my band were all screenprinted and four color process.
I worked at Factory Direct International for 6 months in 2007. I basically received a crash course in Apparel design, creating hats and apparel for golf courses and popular clothing companies all across America. The company is based out of Findlay, Oh and is going into its tenth year. For more information on Factory Direct International go to FDIzone.com
The production company makes movies and interactive work. They contacted me to create a series of posters for a short documentary on a aluminum tycoon from Michigan. The idea was to basically make up satirical mock movies about him. I ended up making four posters 31″x 40″ posters using their stock photos and my own stock.
I created a logo and identity for the group. They had approached me to complete an idea the owner had for a logo incorporating basic script. I wanted to make sure they kept a professional look throughout the process and didn’t come off looking like the matrix. This was achieved by making sure their typography was professional and clean.
